Disabled Student Coalition
DISCO is a student-led coalition that brings together neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill students—as well as allies—from across campus. We're building a community where we can show up as our full selves, support each other, and push for the changes we need to thrive.

Grounded in Disability Justice, we recognize that disability is more than just an identity—it’s a culture, a movement, and a lens through which we understand access, care, and collective liberation. DISCO is about finding power in connection and working together to make our campus more inclusive for everyone.
DISCO's Mission
The Disabled Student Coalition will bring together neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill students and their allies from across campus within a Disability Justice framework to build community around our shared identity and struggles. The goals of this coalition include advocating for more accessible student experiences, promoting disability community spaces, and counteracting ableism on campus. In this project, we hope to make a more inclusive campus for all students.
The DISCO Office
The Disabled Student Coalition is proud to share a centralized, student-run office space that serves as a home base for four disability-oriented student groups: NeuroPride UW–Madison, the Undergraduate Disability Justice Society, the Chronic Health Allies Mentorship Program (CHAMP), and the Disabled Student Union. This is the first dedicated space on campus run completely by and for disabled students. By creating a shared physical space, we are strengthening relationships across our coalition, expanding access to essential resources, and strengthening the presence and visibility of the disability community at UW–Madison
