Neurodivergence Acceptance
Month

Neurodivergence Acceptance Month is a series of events aimed at celebrating and raising awareness about neurodivergence on campus. This includes events, workshops, and educational campaigns that challenge stereotypes, promote acceptance, and create an inclusive environment.

Why is it Important?

Neurodivergence is often framed in a deficit focused light and neurodivergent people's stories are shared solely to spread awareness to the neurotypical masses. However, we recognize neurodivergence as an identity that encompasses both the pain and sorrow of neurodivergent people as well as the joys and triumphs that come from existing in the community. NeuroPride is aware of the importance of awareness and advocacy work so during this time we host events to educate the masses and advocate for disability rights. However, we also host events that allow the neurodivergent community and its allies to connect, share experiences, ance celebrate neurodiversity.
